Kent Bazemore from Old Dominion has earned StatSheet's CAA Player of the Week award for February 13th. StatSheet's CAA Freshman of the Week goes to Jarvis Threatt. Bazemore tallied respectable numbers with 12 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, and 5.5 assists per game. The Old Dominion senior played well for the Monarchs in a victory versus William & Mary and a loss to Virginia Commonwealth.
Bazemore added 10 points and 9 assists in 28 minutes in a 70-51 win over William & Mary. That was followed by 14 points and 4 steals in a 68-64 loss to Virginia Commonwealth.
This is the second StatSheet CAA Player of the Week award for Kent Bazemore. He has also received multiple honorable mentions. The runner-up this week is Old Dominion junior Nick Wright. Honorable mention goes to Hofstra senior Nathaniel Lester. Devon Saddler finished fourth and was the highest ranking player from Delaware.
StatSheet CAA Freshman of the Week: Delaware's Jarvis Threatt
Jarvis Threatt averaged 24 minutes of playing time starting both games for Delaware. He led all CAA freshmen in both assists (5.0 per game) and free throws (7.5 per game). In a 71-53 win over North Carolina-Wilmington, Threatt rang up 8 points and 4 assists. Then in a thin 80-77 win over Georgia State, he led all scoring with 19 points and also put up 6 assists.
This is the first StatSheet CAA Freshman of the Week honor for Jarvis Threatt. Quincy Ford from Northeastern gets runner-up. Dimitri Batten from Old Dominion receives honorable mention. Delaware players have been named StatSheet CAA Player of the Week once this season.
